Bring your live painter to your destination wedding
Thinking about a destination wedding?
If you have the option to bring your favourite photographer to your wedding abroad, you might like to consider bringing your chosen live wedding painter to your destination wedding.

A live painting for your destination wedding is:
More than a souvenir: Some travellers like to collect souvenirs, to keep the memory of that meaningful journey through an object that was hand made in that very place. A painting created on your wedding day can be that personal keepsake. There is something magical about live painting, when absorbing the energy and emotions in colour forms, taken from the surroundings and canalising them through the paint brush into the canvas.
An impression of the day: Your wedding colour theme is encapsulated in your photos and can be imprinted on canvas as well. The colour accents of your event will be highlighted in your bespoke portrait.

Practical matters for a live painter on a destination wedding:
Language: My mother tongue is Spanish, I speak fluent English and basic Dutch, to communicate with guests and vendors while creating your painting.
Canvas size: When traveling abroad, I am able to bring a 50 x 60 cm or 60 x 70 cm canvas size in my baggage, along with all the equipment and materias needed. Working on a larger size is also possible, in a panorama format that can be rolled in a suitcase and later stretched on a frame (máx 120 x 70 cm).
Style: I like to create paintings that look indeed like paintings, with expressive brushstrokes that resonate with the vibes of your event. I try to capture the atmosphere of how that day felt like more than how it looked like in the photos.
From study to finished artwork: This is optional if you are looking for a bigger format painting. When travelling abroad, as a live painter I can perform the painting on the venue to create a small study of the scene and your portrait, in an impressionistic style, and later I can take that same study back to my studio as a reference to recreate a bigger painting, more detailed and refined. After 6 weeks I can deliver the painting to you, no extra shipping costs inside The Netherlands.
Delivered on the same day: My painting style allows me to create an impressionistic style painting that can feel spontaneous and authentic by itself, without further more detailing. But I would suggest to allow me take the painting with me after your event, to be able to add touch ups and details, while keeping the same style. Read more about it on this post.
Travel and stay-in considerations for a live wedding painter:
Extra costs: Traveling costs are not included in the price offer, specially for destination weddings that are performed outside The Netherlands and a flight, auto rental and stay over are needed.
Book in advance: Book me at least 6 months previous to the event, so that I can arrange my traveling logistics.
Stay-in: Depending on the location of your venue, if hotels or Air B&B are available I can arrange my own check-in. But when the venue is mostly isolated and you have arranged a stay-in with your guests, we can talk about this possibility.
Warranty in case of mishaps:
If when travelling abroad, the painting gets damaged in transit, I got you covered. I can recreate the painting in another canvas. You can learn more about warranty in the Terms & Conditions, when signing the contract.
When unexpected situations happen, say extreme weather conditions, delayed or cancelled flights, Covid measures, your booking for a live wedding painter keeps a warranty. If by any circumstance out of our control happens and I can’t attend to your event, I will be able to recreate a painting from your favourite wedding photopgraphs, with some customised wishes. We can talk about it when a situation like this happens.
